Black Stork

Black Stork in Northumberland; 10th August 2008

I was seawatching with Lachlan and Craig at Workington when I received  news of a juvenile Black Stork in Northumberland. After a quick look in a road map we were soon on our way towards Newburn not far from Newcastle.

Once we located the right area we were soon watching a juvenile Black Stork at amazingly close quarters.

This was an amazing bird to see at close quarters, allowing ample opportunity to take photographs!
