After my counselling session in the morning I made way way down to Oxenholme where I had arranged to meet Mike s I could help him with some computer stuff. On arrival at the railway station Mike was there waiting for me and we made our way towards Kendal. We were hoping to see the Rose-coloured Starling that was present in garden there. Despite the disturbance of some tree surgery happening across the road from the favoured garden it was not long before we were getting views of the bird. The bird showed very well for a short length of time, allowing me to take a few digiscoped shots!

The bird was a real delight to see, and far better than I had thought it would be!
Next we made our way to Heysham to look for a Tundra Bean Goose amongst a flock of Pink-footed Geese. Although the birds were relatively distant, we picked out the Tundra Bean Goose fairly quickly initially.
Well that was the birding over for the day; so we made our way to Mike’s to some computer stuff!
