Due to the icy roads; today was the first time I had venture out, this side of Christmas.
As it was a bright sunny day, I was keen to revisit Port Carlisle to hopefully digiscope the wintering Long-billed Dowitcher.
On arrival at the harbour the dowitcher was showing nicely as it fed energetically along the shoreline.
The Long-billed Dowitcher shows really well at times, giving ample opportunity to study it in detail.
The Spotted Redshank was also present amongst the usual medley of waders.
